  • Presentations to International Audiences of Market Focus Seminars covering South Africa. Presented to public & private wishing to do business, establish a joint venture partnership, or gather intelligence on a specified market sector, also to assist in the identification of companies/individuals looking at FDI into South Africa.
  • USAID Project - Contracted to identify and train small, previously disadvantaged manufacturers in exporting capability; to accompany those delegates, to mentor and assist in their discussions and negotiations during the ensuing USAID/ South African DTI- funded trade mission into the USA.

  • An Taoiseach's Official South African Visit - Organised and co-ordinated the visit of Bertie Ahern, the Irish Prime Minister, accompanied by 30 business people, to South Africa. Presented a confidential briefing to the delegation and officials; organised official & business functions, one-to-one business meetings; press releases and photographers as well as business briefings.

  • New Zealand Trade mission led by Minister of Agriculture and Foreign Trade Identified, co-ordinated and facilitated the visit of 18 business people, led by NZ's Minister of International Trade and Agriculture, to South Africa to promote their goods and services.

  • Prime Minister of New Zealand, Jim Bolger's visit to South Africa. Co-ordinated and organised governmental and business meetings for a 12 members business delegation accompanying Mr. Bolger. The group comprised the top echelon of New Zealand business.

  • Official delegation from the Province of Kyonggi, Korea: Invited by the then Gauteng Premier, Tokyo Sexwale. MC&A were contracted by the Gauteng Provincial Legislature to manage and co-ordinate their visit, and also supplied the initial information gathered in respect of International Twinning Agreements.

  • International Food Company, New Zealand: Monitored and investigated allegations of anti-dumping against South African manufacturer.

  • Motion Picture Association of America: As the South Africa consultants we monitored and advised on proposed legislation and industry developments. Supplied relevant South African officials with specific documentation and information gathered from international government departments and private sector sources relating to such proposed legislation.

  • Fortune 500, Petro-Chemical Company, USA: Monitored this industry in South Africa for potential investment. Tasked to liase with both Government and relevant private sector on targeted issues.

  • Ongoing Gathering and dissemination of market information to a wide variety of foreign entities both private and public, on a confidential basis. Acted as facilitator to ensure their participation in both trading and investment market in South Africa, in a responsible and effective manner.

  • Organised and co-ordinated a National Peace Accord Fundraising event. Funds were distributed, through the National Peace Accord, to victims of political violence. Collected SAR1.8 million, in just under three weeks, from business leaders in South Africa. Organised a dinner attended by leading luminaries in business representing both local and international concerns, Ambassadors, High Commissioners and senior Government Ministers.

  • AMERICAN Thanksgiving Dinner: Invited and secured the attendance of the Secretary of Commerce, the late Honourable Ron Brown to address AMCHAM's Thanksgiving Dinner. Participation included included: Congressman Rangel, the Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs - George Moose, US Ambassador to South Africa, Princeton Lyman, together with over 400 top South African and United States business people.

  • Assisted Motorola to their relaunch into the South African market. A two-phase operation:
    I. MC&A structured and co-ordinated a specialised and confidential conference for 25 of Motorola's senior, international executives to assess the viability of their re-investment into this region, and to assist in the identification of potential partners.
    II. MC&A were later re-appointed to act as advisor and facilitator for the launch of Motorola in South Africa through two major conferences held in Johannesburg and Cape Town.

  • CIPE (Centre for International Private Enterprise) - Executive Training Workshops I and II.(CIPE - funded by US Chamber of Commerce and The Centre for Democracy Studies)Two simultaneous 5 day executive training programs. An annual program, which ran over a 3 year period, with the overall objective: To strengthen the capability of independent, voluntary organisations, to enable them to effectively represent the interests of their members in the policy making process and foster the growth of private enterprise. With a focus on small business; to empower them to build small businesses by providing entrepreneurs with basic business skills; and to strengthen and enable management skills, administration, corporate governance and grow the membership services of local business associations
    Further, to promote business participation in democratic political processes by developing policy analysis on national and regional issues.
